Power Electronics renews its sponsorship with the Mutua Madrid Open

Power Electronics, global leader in manufacturing energy storage inverters, leading manufacturer of solar inverters for photovoltaic plants, and a reference in the electric mobility sector, has announced the sponsorship agreement for the 22nd edition of the Mutua Madrid Open tennis tournament, taking place from April 22 to May 5 at the Caja Mágica (Madrid). The company will provide 22 electric chargers for this major event, which will be distributed across various locations within the area and will allow up to 44 official electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously.

In this new edition, Power Electronics aims to reduce the tournament's CO2 emissions by 30% compared to the previous year by increasing charging points, achieving zero-emission transportation for the Mutua Madrid Open players' transfers.

Thanks to more than 1,900 recharges that will take place during the edition, a significant environmental impact is expected, saving 49 tons of CO2 over the 14 days, equivalent to planting 2,227 trees.

David Salvo, CEO of Power Electronics, has highlighted the multinational's commitment. "Bringing sustainability to the Mutua Madrid Open demonstrates that environmental awareness in elite sports is now a reality. Leading the way in electric mobility is a responsible action that will inspire many other competitions to do the same," declares Salvo.

The Mutua Madrid Open is part of the ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 Premier Mandatory circuits, where the best ranked tennis players have been meeting for 21 editions, offering national and international audiences the best tennis in the world.
