Power Electronics Reaffirms Its Commitment to Sustainable Mobility During European Mobility Week
The multinational company reaffirms its leadership in electric vehicle charging solutions and demonstrates its commitment to clean energy.

A Pioneering Energy Model: The Campus as a Benchmark
European Mobility Week is a key moment for reflecting on the future of transportation, but at Power Electronics, this commitment isn 't limited to a specific date. The company advances daily in transforming mobility, driving initiatives that reduce the carbon footprint and demonstrate the feasibility of electrified transport.
Over the last year, the charging stations at the Power Electronics Campus have supplied over 16 million kWh of energy, generated entirely by the energy management project located on the roof of its production plant. This self-consumption system includes photovoltaic panels and batteries, thus closing the company's production cycle and guaranteeing a clean, self-sufficient energy source.
This charging service has helped avoid the emission of 5,823 tons of CO2, a figure calculated using SimaPro, a Life Cycle Assessment software. In this way, the company transforms its facilities into a benchmark where sustainable mobility and innovation in energy storage are a palpable reality.
Knowledge and Debate Around Mobility
To mark European Mobility Week, the company hosted an essential debate on the future of transportation at its facilities on September 11: the "Electric Vehicle vs. Combustion " webinar. It featured engineers from different departments, including Jorge Navarro, Head of Electrical Testing, and José Vicente Gay, Head of Quality Autonomous Unit, as well as Fernando Codony, Subsidies Specialist. The session was moderated by Alejandro Pérez, a content creator focused on electric mobility sector news, who also shared his community 's experience of charging on the company 's electric chargers.
Boosting the Talent of the Future
Power Electronics was the main sponsor of the III E-Mobility Hackathon, where more than 80 young talents developed solutions for smarter mobility. The challenge was presented by Juanjo Sorli, Head of R&D, and included mentoring from Carlos Sendra, Software Development Team Leader, and Ángel Payá, Electrical Engineer.
Within the framework of the hackathon, the multinational also participated in the III Mobility Summit in Valencia, where Javier Rodríguez, E-Mobility Division Manager, shared the company 's vision on the present and future of electric mobility.
Applied Innovation: Launch of the Standalone NB 160 Electric Charger
Furthermore, the company unveiled the Standalone NB 160, its new ultra-fast charger that offers up to 160 kW of power in the same compact format as the NB 120 model. With a robust and reliable design, it ensures maximum performance and optimized user experience.
Commitment to a Sustainable Future
These initiatives reflect Power Electronics' leadership in the transition toward electromobility. The company reaffirms its commitment to technological innovation, talent development, and carbon footprint reduction, actively contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
