Power Electronics reaffirms its commitment to society and health through the Blood Donation Day in its Campus in Llíria

Power Electronics promotes blood donation in its Campus in Llíria within its commitment to employees and society's welfare. The leading renewable energy company has held a Blood Donation Day for the second consecutive year, with more than 150 donors.

On June 14, the World Blood Donor Day is celebrated, a date that wants to thank volunteer donors and raise awareness about the importance of regular donations to guarantee blood quality, security and availability. Blood transfusions save each year millions of lives, prolong the life of patients with serious diseases and make complex medical and surgical operations possible. Also, they play a vital role in maternal and child care and in the emergency responses in natural disasters or caused by human beings.

For this reason, just as its innovative solutions are designed to promote sustainability, Power Electronics carries out these solidary actions to build a healthier society and provide a better future for new generations.

In this sense, Víctor Iranzo, Security and Health Manager at Power Electronics, states that “Power Electronics' commitment to the welfare plan of its employees makes it easy to do this kind of actions and helps those who need blood donation”. He also highlights that “it's an honor to be able to carry out this initiative for the second year running”.

Blood donation is a tangible sign of commitment to the welfare of its employees and to society. In fact, it's the second consecutive year that the blood donation campaign has been carried out, strengthening like this its corporate culture based in social care and responsibility.

With a single donation, that takes from 5 to 15 minutes, up to 3 lives can be saved. A person that donates blood every two months from the age of 18 to 65 could save more than 57 lives.
