Freemaq PCSM medium voltage battery inverter is designed for utility scale storage applications, that require the advantages of a central inverter solution but also the modularity of a string architecture. The PCSM can reach up to a nominal power of 3.6 MVA and it is compatible with all battery technology and manufactures.

The Freemaq PCSM station is a turn-key solution ready for connection to the battery container and MV power distribution wiring. It also has the added advantage of having an integrated medium voltage transformer and switchgear. The PCSM reduces site design, installation and connection costs, and therefore minimizes the LCOE.
Field Replaceable Units
The Freemaq PCSM consists of six FRUs (Field Replaceable Units) designed, as the name implies, for easy replacement in situ. These are connected to each other in such way that if there is a breakdown, the faulty module shuts down and its energy is evenly distributed among the still-active FRUs.
iCOOL 3 is a ventilation system designed to supply a constant flow of clean air to the inside of the equipment without any need for dust filters or liquid cooling.
Multilevel topology is the most efficient way of addressing the management of high DC voltages. This three-level configuration reduces losses at the power stage, increases efficiency and minimizes overall harmonic distortion.
The Freemaq PCSM unit comes with a high level of protection against external agents such as rain, snow and ice. It is fitted with insulating panels designed to shield it from solar radiation and a casing that provides C4 corrosion protection by default.
When the unit is not actively exporting/importing power, the inverter can import a small amount of energy to prevent internal condensation without any use of heating elements.

The Freemaq PCSM is housed in a sealed casing designed to stop dust and humidity getting inside the equipment.
