Freesun HEMK is our second generation of 1500 V inverters, with a design based on the good results and experience gained from the HEC V1500. This modular solar inverter offers the advantages of both central and string inverters.

The Freesun HEMK is a compact unit measuring just over 12 feet (3.7 meters) in length. It can operate at up to 3.8 MW. Its small size allows you to reduce installation costs significantly. Straightforward extraction of its power stages also allows quick replacement, along with complete frontal access to simplify maintenance tasks.
Field Replaceable Units
The Freesun HEMK device consists of six FRUs (Field Replaceable Units) designed, as the name implies, for easy replacement in situ. These are connected to each other in such way that if there is a breakdown, the faulty module shuts down and its energy is evenly distributed among the still-active FRUs.
iCOOL 3 is a ventilation system designed to supply a constant flow of clean air to the inside of the equipment without any need for dust filters or liquid cooling.
Multilevel topology is the most efficient way of addressing the management of high DC voltages. This three-level configuration reduces losses at the power stage, increases efficiency and minimizes overall harmonic distortion.
The Freesun HEMK unit offers a high level of protection against external agents such as rain, snow and ice. It is also fitted with insulating panels to protect it from solar radiation.
During the night, when the inverter does not actively export power, it can import a small amount of energy to prevent internal condensation – without any use of heating elements.

The Freesun HEMK achieves high power density with its output of 3.8 MW at 40ºC. It is available for six different ranges of AC voltage, thereby providing you with greater flexibility when choosing the best solution for each photovoltaic plant.
The Freesun HEMK device allows the connection of up to six Freemaq DC/DC units.
Freesun HEMK inverter modules offer a useful service life of more than 30 years’ operation in aggressive environments and under extreme weather conditions. Our HEMK units are tested and configured to withstand anything from the sub-zero temperatures of the Siberian tundra to the searing heat of California’s Death Valley.
