The multinational Power Electronics wanted to highlight the essential work carried out by each of its female employees to make visible the importance of the work they carry out.
Under the slogan “You are essential”, all the women who work in the company have been part of a great group photo on the occasion of International Women’s Day that immortalizes an important moment since the company believes in the promotion of female talent, and hopes, in the coming years, to achieve parity in their staff.
Since the beginning of this roadmap, aligned with the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal number 5, which deals with gender equality, the organization has thirteen times more female talent in its teams, with a large presence of STEAM profiles -Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths.
Power Electronics was the first industrial company in Spain that, in 2019, equalized paternity leave to 16 weeks, taking a step towards co-responsibility and equality between men and women, and anticipating the measure that has just entered into force To this important measure, add others that facilitate family reconciliation and provide flexibility in working hours.
The company has a markedly international profile and has professionals of more than twenty different nationalities and forty different degrees. Also, the average age of their workers is 37 years, which shows the importance they attach to the incorporation of young talent.
