Power Electronics consolidates its expansion plans in the Italian market

3 February, 2021

The presence of Power Electronics, specialized in the development of advanced electronic equipment, in the Italian market continues according to the plans. The corporation has plans in the neighboring country and the expansion prospects for 2021 are more ambitious.

The positive outlook for the Italian market is supported by the ambitious National Integrated Climate and Energy Plan (PNIEC), which sets a target of +30 GW of photovoltaic capacity by 2030.

Moreover, HEMK Freesun inverters have been certified in the Italian market under the CEI 0-16 standard (“Regola tecnica di riferimento per la connessione di Utenti attivi e passivi alle reti AT ed MT delle imprese distributrici di energia elettrica” ). This certification defines the technical standards for connections to high and medium voltage networks and has been issued by the CERE organization.

“With this certificate, Power Electronics confirms its commitment to the Italian market, where we made our first entrance in 2011,” says Luigi Bariani, Business Development Manager of the Italian Solar & Storage Division. “Now we are using our HEMK equipment, the only modular solution that combines the advantages of string inverters and central inverters”.

Power Electronics closed a bright 2020 with more than 40GW installed in photovoltaic and 4GW in storage systems, making it the world leader in this sector. The company will approach new markets this year and during 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, has managed to continue growing more than 35%.
