Power Electronics closes 2020 with 40GW installed power

9 February, 2021

The multinational Power Electronics has closed 2020 with a figure of 40GW of installed AC power, which places them as world leaders in energy storage and the first manufacturer of solar inverters in the US, LATAM, UK, and Spain.

The company has concentrated its efforts in recent years on the international side, and its presence in the solar energy sector has experienced remarkable growth. For this reason, they are one of the main players in this field, with around 1300 plants in 35 countries. In fact, the technology of Power Electronics inverters is present in those that are already the largest solar and storage projects in the world.

Despite the pandemic, 2020 has been a year of growth for the company that addresses 2021 with important plans: the opening of new markets and the launch of new projects. “The huge vocation for service and our commitment to the generation and transformation of clean energy allows us to be at the forefront of the renewable energy sector,” said David Salvo, CEO of the company.

“Power Electronics is already leading the necessary and unprecedented change that will modify the global energy paradigm of the next few years: the transition from fossil to renewable energy” said the company’s CEO.

For all these reasons, the multinational company promises a positive 2021, since it will be the protagonist of innovative energy storage projects and in which renewable energies are expected to play a key role in both the national and international panorama.
