Power Electronics USA Inc. has supplied 30MW of the first Freesun HEK skid solution at the Lone Valley Solar Park in Lucerne Valley, San Bernardino (CA). Another milestone in Power Electronics’ history! The Plant has two sites including the Marathon 20MW and Agincourt 10MW utilizing 2MW HEK Skids. The HEK Skid units were integrated at Hill Phoenix in Arizona.
Freesun HEK Power Skid
Power Electronics’ HEK is a fully integrated solar inverter station for utility-scale PV systems. The open –skid is a scalable solution ranging from 200KVA to 25000KVA and features one or two HEC-US modular & redundant inverters, pad-mount transformer, DC subsystem, SCADA board, auxiliary transformer and other optional equipment, which is delivered pre-engineered, assembled and tested saving substantial installation and commissioning cost and time.
Power Electronics solar inverters feature a modular & redundant topology with a NEMA¬4 stainless steel outdoor enclosure consisting of high quality Rockwool insulation for minimal solar heat gains during operation. The HEC-US models range from 150kVA to 1250kVA at 50ºC certified by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) to UL1741 second edition and CSA C22.2 No.107.1-01 Standards. Power electronics’ 1000Vdc class inverters offer extended MPPT voltage range and maximum efficiency in four different AC output voltages ranging from 208Vac, 330Vac, 360Vac and 390Vac, covering all utility-scale PV applications ranging from 600Vdc to 1000Vdc Input.
The HEK Skid saves substantial time and cost for EPC’s reducing on site wiring and field integration. A single HEK Skid consists of more than 500 pieces from more than 50 suppliers that are engineered, assembled and tested by expert professionals in dedicated facilities. The entire process is budgeted and quality controlled by Power Electronics’ engineering and service teams which provide full technical and on-site service assistance to EPCs across North America. Power Electronics will support you at any time providing first class customer service 24/7 which is our company philosophy at its finest.
Solar Lone Valley
Located in the western Mojave Desert, approximately 5 miles southeast of Lucerne Valley, the Lone Valley Solar Park will have a total installed capacity of 30 Mega Watts (MW) – enough to power more than 7,000 average American homes with clean energy each year. Lone Valley Solar Park will prevent the emission of over 55,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year, the equivalent of removing 11,600 passenger vehicles from the road each year. Additionally, the project will include at least 35 acres of permanent conservation land.
Power electronics USA takes more than 2 years of hard work preparing for the most competitive and demanding market. According “Solar Industries Energy Association”
