Power Electronics has successfully participated in Intersolar 2014 fair in Munich where more than 1100 participants from 48 countries, showcased their ultimate products to over 44,000 visitors. Intersolar Europe is a lead exhibition in the renewable sector and where EPCs, investors and developers worldwide spot check the new releases and latest news. Power Electronics participated with a 221m2 booth, with spaces for training, product and meeting areas where the attendees enjoyed the company’s usual hospitality.
Intersolar 2014 was an excellent scenario for releasing the second generation of their well-known outdoor Freesun HEC inverter. A central inverter ranging from 400kVA to 1700kVA designed for utility scale PV plants and featured with the Power Electronics’ unique modular and redundant topology. Freesun HEC Gen II, like its predecessor, is the most advanced and durable solution in the market featuring: stainless steel construction, mineral isolation panel, extended MPPt range, wider power factor range, reactive power injection at night, additional utility-interactive functions (OVRT), 24 independent monitoring channels available in the input DC box, zonal VSD control for fans without dust filters, automatic derating above 50°C or 820Vdc, built-in transformer for auxiliary services, free room inside for your communication devices or meters, and above everything it is available in a wide range of turnkey solutions as the Freesun MV Station or Freesun MV Outdoor Kit.
The second big bet of Power Electronics has been the release of Freesun BESS, its turnkey solution in battery energy storage. It mainly comprises a battery container, a bidirectional inverter PCS, a master power plant controller PPC, and the medium-voltage equipment. The scalable solution offers high flexibility for large and medium scale plants, where advanced utility-interactive functions are required to support the grid such as: frequency regulation, voltage regulation, peak saving, load leveling or ramp-down control. Power Electronics, in collaboration with Kokam, showcased in Munich a 106kWh and 445kW lithium-polymer battery rack, the Freesun Power Plant Controller and the bidirectional inverter Freesun PCS.
Power Electronics’ stand was a meeting point for key players such as investment funds, developers and EPCs with frenetic activities in the UK, USA and South America. With over 600MW installed in UK, Power Electronics has become the leader in the main European market and expects a privileged position for the new 3GW expected by the end of March 2015. As Miguel Angel Escribano declares (Renewable Division Sales Director) “Power Electronics is succeeding because of our customer oriented philosophy where the continuous service and support are the crucial points. We, unlike our competitors, offer a flexible approach to address the opportunities and the issues, assuring to those who trust on us a successful project.”
Power Electronics confirms its active participation in future worldwide exhibitions (SPI Las Vegas and PV Expo Japan) where they plan to strength their frame agreements and global position in the PV renewable sector.
